How to Play 13
The player who has 3 of spades takes the first turn, and then the play moves in a clockwise manner. A player takes his turn by playing cards in the middle. A player can play a single card, a pair, a 3 of a kind, a four of a kind, a sequence of 3 or more cards, or two sequences of 3 or more cards. It is not necessary that all cards in a sequence should be of the same suit.
A player has to match the combination type of the previous play and also the combination should be of higher rank than the previous combination played. Example: If a player has played three 4s, then the next player has to play three 5s or higher.
If a player plays a sequence, and the next player also wants to play the same ranked sequence, then the suit of the last card of his sequence should be of higher rank than the suit of the last card of the previous sequence.
During the game, if a player cannot or does not want to play any card, then he can pass. As soon as all the players pass, the middle pile is cleared and the next player starts a new middle pile by playing cards. When a player makes a pass, he cannot play until the middle pile is cleared.
The Bomb
A four of a kind and double sequences of 3 or more cards are known as the Bomb. A player can only play the bomb on the top of 2. Remember, a player cannot form a sequence using 2.
