A 52 cards standard deck and Two or more players are required to play 99. Also, some special items are needed to play this game:

Special Items: In the beginning, each player has 3 special items. Whenever a player loses a round, he has to place one special item in the middle. Pennies, quarters, pen caps, etc. can be used as special items. Per player 3 special items are required.

What is the main Object in 99?

The main objective in 99 is to be the last player standing in the game.

In the beginning, each player has 3 special items. When a player plays a card in the middle that causes the total to go over 99 points, he loses the round and has to put one special item in the middle.

As soon as a player runs out of the special items, he is out of the game. The last player with a special item wins the game.

How to Select Dealer and the manner in which the Dealer Deals the Cards

The players can select the dealer randomly. After determination, the dealer deals 3 cards to each player face-down and places the remaining cards on the table in a pile face-down. It is called the stockpile.

How to Play 99

The player on the left of the dealer starts the game by playing a card in the middle. After that, each player plays a card in the middle in a clockwise manner.

Each player has to announce the total of the middle pile after playing the card in the middle and also has to draw a card from the stockpile.
